Teen Survives a Horrible Shark Attack.

Although shark attacks have been documented too be on the decline, they are still occurring.

Statistically the likelihood of being attacked by a shark are 1 in 11.5 million. Those are numbers, but even a single shark attack can be devastating and a very emotional experience for anyone directly or indirectly involved.

Recently, within the last few months of this post, there have been reports of shark attacks on individuals resulting in the loss of limbs.

Statistics are one ting, but real-life experience really counts at the end of the day.

In 2018 there were 32 unprovoked shark attacks in the US. However, this is reportedly half of the world-wide total.

Paige Winter, a teen from North Carolina, is a shark attack survivor. She was in waist high water off the coast of North Carolina (Atlantic Beach NC) when she was attacked. Paige lost fingers and a leg when the shark pulled her under. She was rescued by her father and air-lifted for medical treatment. She is an amazing person with a remarkable spirit, she continues to love sharks and is recovering well.

Watch the following ABC News Nightline video clip where Paige and her father explain what happened and how they are dealing with life after this turn of events.
