Tiger Shark Attacks Scuba Diver Who Broke Protocol [Video]

A group of 10 divers chum up  a bunch of tiger sharks and jump in.

A group of 10 scuba divers seeking the thrill of diving with sharks  were diving off the coast of Durban South Africa when one of them is attacked.  The plan was to chum up a bunch of sharks and jump in with them.

Shark Biting Chum Bucket

For safety they were to act as a school of fish by remaining together in a vertical position.

The safety plan worked well until on of the divers broke the safety protocol and got separated. Needless to say it didn’t take long to become easy prey for a 10 foot tiger shark.

Fortunately for the diver, the shark didn’t sever any any major arteries which could have easily resulted in certain death.

See how this plays out in the video below.

  • So stupid! Chumming waters and then diving in is asinine; like bathing in gasoline and then dancing around a bonfire...not going to turn out well.

  • Ha let's chum in South Africa, the big shark hot spot and then jump in. That right there is natural selection playing out, thin the herd!

  • I have dived where sharks are locally seen and have had many happy encounters by obeying by the sharks rules as well as general diving rules & safety procedures, only once in all the years did I feel seriously threatened by a resting unseen hammerhead but accepting his message and slowly retreating from his domain I kept my legs and he kept his resting place and his cool l love to dive around shark when not teaching scuba diving but I would never use this asinine idea feed them and then jump in? it's beyond me!!
