Interacting With The Great White Sharks of Southern California

Southern California is home to increasing numbers of white sharks. Therefore, with more people enjoying the surf and the popularity of drones, more shark encounters are being recorded.

The following drone footage captures the shark and human interactions that occur frequently off the coast of California. Unlike the common depictions of such encounters, the sharks are not aggressive at all. In fact, you can see how the sharks mind their own business and try avoid contact as much as possible.

For many the idea of non-aggressive white sharks doesn’t seem possible. Fortunately, or should I say hopefully, drone footage such as this will educate us about the true nature of sharks and how to respect them in their natural habitats.

Watch this amazing drone footage clips below.
