Injured Great White Shark – Drone Footage Shows Birds Fearless

Its not often that you see an injured great white shark fending for itself.
In the following clip a large, but injured, great white shark swims through the water as usual. However, as it swims towards birds, they don’t seem too bothered.
As it turns out this particular shark is the same injured shark spotted by TheMalibuArtist back in August. Its been over 5 months now. So apparently the shark seems to be surviving with this injury.
In the following clip TheMalibuArtist’s video documents the shark’s injuries and encounters with birds.
Watch the following video for more details and to see how this injured great white shark gets along.
In the clip TheMalubuArtist explains that he consulted with the director of the California State University, Long Beach Shark Lab about the video. It is thought that a fishing line may have caused the injury.
Its hard to imagine how a fishing line could cause such an injury. I guess there are always unintended consequences for our actions both above and below the surface.
