Eating Underwater While Scuba Diving? [Video]

Who knew … The possibility of having a meal while scuba diving never occurred to me ….

I came across this first video of a diver eating a banana underwater. It somewhat intrigued me, so I looked for more videos and found a few more. As a result it seems that there may be quite a few divers that have or will attempt to eat and drink underwater. Have you ever done this or know of anyone who has?

I was actually surprised to find the following video clips depicting scuba divers eating and drinking under water while diving. .. oh well i guess folks are always trying something new.. LOL

A few times I plucked a Scallop and ate it while scuba diving in San Diego. Fresh and nicely marinated in a mild natural brine. LOL

I often carry a Capri Sun with me on a dive in my BCD pocket. Tank air dries out my mouth so I give the juice bag a stab with the straw and have a drink. It's all sealed and flexible so salt water never gets into the taste.

On my checkout dive in 1976- all students swam into a submerged school bus and took a seat. Beer was passed all around and this was the last item on the check out list- Shoot the beer at 30' I'm unclear where in the PADI basic C card protocol that fell, but, everybody did it.
