Divers Discover Debris From Challenger Disaster

History Channel divers made a surprised discovery of a piece of wreckage from the Challenger disaster while searching for the remains of WWII aircraft.

The discovery was made off the coast of Florida. It is there that History Channel divers discovered a 20 ft. section of the space shuttle Challenger. Challenger was lost during a its launch back in January of 1986 killing all seven astronauts. Under US law, any space shuttle artifact must be returned to NASA.
