Diver Saved From A Huge Tiger Shark By A Whale

Here is an incredible story. Nan Hauser, a whale scientist, describes her incredible experience of being saved by a whale.
This story proves that there is truth in the thought that whales are capable of altruistic behavior. While out on assignment filming in the Cook Islands, Nan is approached by a large humpback whale. At first she doesn’t understand what is going on.
As a whale scientist, Nan expresses that she is well aware of the importance of maintaining a safe distance and a vigilant eye when around such large animals. This is exactly what she does. However, the whale is quite persistent in the approach and its apparent desire to nudge her and tuck her under its fin.
Watch this incredible story as told directly by Nan, herself, below. She explains exactly what happened and how difficult the situation actually was. Remember, whales have barnacles. These barnacles are quite sharp as she explains being cut by them in the video clip below.
Nan explains how she was able to deal with the whale, the situation and her surprise when she finds out why the whale was so persistent with her. Its truly an inspiring story, told in the 1st person by Nan in full detail and worth watching.
Watch the clip below where Nan Hauser explains how she was saved by a humpback whale and its later return visit after a year.
