The Challenges of Diving The World’s Deepest Dives

As we all know, the deeper we dive the more complicated it becomes.

There are a number of technical, environmental and physiological challenges associated with diving at deeper depths. All of these challenges must be managed.

Past the recreational depths of 33m, diving becomes extremely challenging on a number or fronts. However, as challenging as these depths are, commercial divers routinely work under such extreme diving conditions.

The following video, by “Real Science”, does an amazing job of explaining the challenges of diving deep and how commercial divers manage these challenges at depths of up to 500 ft.

As alluded to in the previous video. Scientists are hopeful of solving the problems associated with oxygen toxicity and nitrogen narcosis experienced by divers a depths.

The following video examines the research that is currently being done to make the possibility of breathing an oxygen rich liquid solution instead of oxygen rich air a reality.

To me this seems far-fetched, but who knows? 🙂
